How to Detoxify Our Organism Quickly after Thanksgiving and the Christmas Holidays?



The huge lunches, dinners and even snacks are the most common at this time, a great party in which reigns the meetings with friends and family, we all share to sit around the table full of tasty and delicious dishes, forcing us to forget the healthy and balanced diet that we had before.




The most common thing is to drink alcohol, even if it is just to make a small toast, and also to overindulge in food and sweets typical of this holiday season.


Then we hit rock bottom realizing that during the holidays we have reached a weight we did not want. Also our body feels the excess that we committed is always tired, without much energy, and that is why we urge a rapid detoxification of our organism..




Purifying Diet:


In this type of diet it is advisable to follow a very balanced diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables. After the end of the Christmas season it is essential to increase the daily consumption of these foods. It is important to consume at least 4 or 5 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables daily.


Consommé or broths to purify:


A very effective option during the first week of January is to consume a cleansing broth which you can prepare in a saucepan by pouring 3 cups of water, 1 leek, 1 stalk of celery and 1 small onion cut in two. Leeks are a strong diuretic rich in potassium, it also helps to eliminate excess fluids in our body, on the other hand celery contains a rich oil that helps us to remove impurities that accumulate in our body, and last but not least is the famous onion which has a number of diuretic properties. 



Recommendations:

  • Exercise at least 4 times a week.
  • Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily.
  • Green juices are very beneficial, it is advisable to consume them at breakfast because they are diuretic and antioxidants. 
  • It is very important to consume fiber regularly, it helps us lose weight and prevents constipation problems. 
  • It is advisable to avoid or consume as little as possible alcoholic beverages, cigarettes and coffee. 
  • Avoid excessive consumption of refined flours, sugars, salt and carbonated beverages.
